I tried to find info on these guys but barely found any, does anyone know anything about them, such as size tank mates, water conditions? Thanks for any help
Depends on where they are sourced from. Here in Florida they are predominately brackish. The ones recently coming in are from Suriname, if u trust ur importer. Can get 10in most Home aquariums. Like to be kept in groups. Skittish a bit but better when in groups. Will take a little time to get off of live food but not as bad tiger fish and armatus. I have one from Jeff Rapps and he’s an interesting fish. Will need a 180g for these guys especially in a group.I tried to find info on these guys but barely found any, does anyone know anything about them, such as size tank mates, water conditions? Okay what tankmates would you recommend for these guysDepends on where they are sourced from. Here in Florida they are predominately brackish. Ok thanksCan do pbass, pikes, medium sized cichlids, catfish, etc. There will be a lot of trial and error. No too aggressive tankamtes when small.
Keep in mind they are slow growing and will need to let them get larger before adding other fish. The other fish I mentioned will grow way fast than the snook.
Do they really get 3-4 feetAdult size:3-4 feet
Diet:most meaty foods such as fish chunks, prawns, ghost shrimp, mussel meat etc.
Temp:mid to high 70s f.
Not aggressive but rather predatory.
Water: good from full fresh to full salt.
Not a terribly fast grower but gets rather sizable.
Those are regular snook. The swordspine will get up to 12inches.Do they really get 3-4 feet
