how about this one ... why are asian aros illegal in the u.s because they are almost extinct but could easily be bred in florida and texas ,but long line fishing is legal when , swordfish , sharks and bluefin tuna breeding stocks are all being decimated and those fish CANT be bred in captivity!

Iam sure they catch and target all species of billfish, sword fish and Scombridae

All billfish in the atlantic are illegal to sell, swords are not counted though. Also the real problem with tuna stocks is the commercial netters who catch tunas by the THOUSANDS when they are coming to the surface to breed. So whole school do not get the chance to breed due to being coraled.

They are fishing cold water that i dont think bill fish would like. The real problem is not the longliners but really the trawlers and netters.

yes said but I hear marlin and sailfish are some of the best fish to eat out of the ocean. Tuna taste like crap we just recently brought home some of a 135 pound bluefin from delaware and it didnt taste that great wish they crew on the boat wouldnt have gaffed it so it could have been released.

Bluefin Taste like crap:screwy: If it was not bleed right away an iced on the spot... or let it sun bake.. it would taste like crap...
I have caught tuna's for a long time an i would just eat it on the spot.. its so sweet... but chewy... if left in the fridge for 6 hrs or so it would be lesss chewy...

yes compared to walleye and trout and salmon and white fish and crappie and bluegill and perch ;). bluefin taste like crap:WHOA:.

This is horrible! We need to take more care with animals. Just because we are going to kill them to eat doesn't mean we have to be cruel:( All food sources should be regulated better to ensure we aren't wiping species out or being cruel or wasteful. This has been a problem for a long time! It's really sad it doesn't get more attention.
