I been planning to build a custom glass tank. I wondered if 3/4 thick could hold 48" tall. Looks like yours has been holding fine. What type of bracing if any on top..

900 gallon glass tank tops. spacing is 1ftglass 2ft opening 2ft glass 2ft opening 1ft glass comes to 8ft with 1ft front back.

The top always gets dirty because sometimes instead of feeding the fish well feed the glass.
