Tank mates for a bullfrog.

I've decided to turn my new 75 gallon into a aquatic reptile/amphibian tank.
I've got platies, a pleco, a MI Map Turtle, and a Bullfrog. I'm planning on adding a small group of black convicts to the tank as well. I am aware that the bullfrog will eat the convicts and platies if he gets the chance. Any ideas on other tankmates? It's filled about half way. It has plenty of basking areas and I'm adding both aquatic plants and semi-aquatic plants later possibly as well.

Ive heard of bullfrogs choking on turtles, and turtles eating bullfrogs. Invariable on or the other gets eaten, or dies trying.

Our native turtles are being eating by bullfrogs, part of the reason I can buy one

Well they have been in the same tank for over 3 months now. The map turtle gets up to bask and the frog will sit on top of him, sometimes. No issues so far. I'll keep you posted if anything happens. The turtle is to big for the bullfrog to ever fit even half way into his mouth, yeah yeah as far as a bullfrog goes nothing is to small. Still the choking hazard level is really low.

I feel for you chris, are the bullfrogs invasive in your state? I heard our bullfrogs are invasive in some areas of the western US.

ANY WAY none of these replies answer my request for a list of possible tankmates. Either ones who the frog won't try to eat or cheap ones he can safely devoured.

Hi, I admit that I usually hang in the Stingray forum but I saw this and thought I would give my two cents.
If you really don't mind some predation, why not guppies. Both for the BF and the Map. I know you are aware of the predatory nature and capabilities of the Bullfrog so why not entice him to "Prey". Maybe go native with some BlueGill or Sunfish?

Surprisingly not much. I'm lucky to have my chinese golden thread turtle.
