TANK OF YOUR DREAMS ... WHAT KIND OF FISH ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think a huge (like a 1000 gallons, let's say, but the more the merrier) tanganyikan biotope filled with small to medium sized cichlids and some tanganyikan spiny eels/synodontis with different zones for shell dwellers and cave dwellers and open water would be amazing to watch. If it started to get too crowded with various kinds of fry I might just throw an electric catfish or some other native predator in there for added excitement and population control. I don't think I would ever leave my house.

HAHAHA I got those tanks I want...Probably, I won't leave mu house too ! haha

I consider tanks of my dreams with only tanks that if I have enough money, I can take care of myself.

That said,

1) 10 Ft x 3 ft SA planted community, with discus, Angels, fancy plecos, ( and the obligatory neons) etc
2) 10 Ft x 3 ft CA/SA Cichlid tank
3) 10 Ft x 3 ft river Loach tank with rainbow fish
4) 10 Ft x 3 ft African Hap tank

Yes, a little mundane but these are the fish I like.

Colorful ones ! Would be nice to watch !

10'X4'X3' tank
External coast to coast tripple piped overflow (1 main, 1 backup, and 1 return)
flow to a pool sand filter followed by a bio tower (the ultimate in easy to service filters since you just back wash the sand by flipping a lever, and voi-la.....clean filter)
And obviously a continuous drip water change system

Stock:
breeding Leopoldi rays
2 Black Arowana
Dats
Flag Tail
a couple P-Bass

I would want 2 massive tanks, like 1000gal each. One would be fresh and one salt. The fresh tank would be stocked with tiger muskies and the salt with a bunch of different morays, maybe some groupers for space fillers.
