tank size for odoe pike?

Short answer: I don't think they typically reach 2 foot, and you can have a group until they pair up. Having said that, there have only been a couple of cases on this forum where they did pair up...

Thanks for the info, been doing some reading and seeing posts of other people as well. I plan to only have one pike and maybe some bottom dwelling fish

F Fishyboi1234 this has the potential to be a pretty passive tank. Most of the time those pike stand around and wait for pray to come. There won't be much active swimming... they come from stagnant waters, which means your fish won't seek out the filter outlet and swim against current, it will not circle the tank, it will simply seek a calm spot in your tank and hang out there. Which is totally cool if that's your thing.

Yes I love the color and shape of the odoe and want to have it in a calm planted tank. I already have another very active tank with my Oscar’s
