Tankmates with JARDINI (READ!!!)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I put a 4in jardini with my 10in Aba and less than a month later the Jardini is no longer around. lets just say that i have never seen a more mutilated fish in my life.

u mean the fish ate the jar? :screwy:

my largest jag is starting to bully my jardini!! :( i woke up this morn to see that my jars fins are a lil torn and the jag has a gash on his head! should i just wait it out n see what happens or should i get rid of this jag... i would rather keep it tho..

ive gt a 3" jar at the mo with a 7" sailfin plec im hoping that they will be ok and grow old together with out any problems. if not im going to have to get rid as ma dad hates tanks with 1 fish so fingers crossed

Good luck with it :)

jardini made my bichir's become blind :)
Did you see how the saratoga (jardini) caused your bichirs to be blind? or how did your jardini cause your fishies to be blind?

I have a 16" jardini right now in a 135 with 3 redlines, and they are doing just fine. I've seen the jardini chase the smallest redline, but I placed driftwood at each end of the tank, so they just go in there for "hiding".

I have a 12" Jardini he is an eating machine and runs the tank. Luckily he has not killed anyone yet.

Bottom dwellers tend to be safer from a Jardini's harm. Once a Jar knows it can have its way with a fish IT WILL DO SO CONTINUIOUSLY!

Opiate,
If you really are worried i would seperate the new Jag as the aggression wont stop, sooner or later one will have to go or die...

I had a shoaling jardini in the past.

he had 6 blood parrots and 4 tigers as tankmates. Didn't hurt a fly.

I think it really depends on the individual aorwana.
