hey does anyone know how long you need to let tap water sit before its safe for fish? I usually let it sit for 24 hours but I have some big ole feeder goldies that are in a little ice cream tub and a larger container thats been sitting for around 8 hours.

I'd break out a spoon and go to town!!!

As long as it is chlorine and not chlorimines...24 hours should do it...You can add an air stone, but that makes the water hard.Good for Africans and some vieja and not much else...Chlorimines prime is the way....

When I had chlorine...I did this for my africans...now...I just use tap and prime. We have chloramines now...
