Some females will have no blue and some females will have a slight blue coloration by the head, it just depends. Males such as yours will be much more beautiful than females. Males can grow up to 11" but its more likely they'll get 9 or 10 inches when fully grown. They're one of my favorite malawi cichlids, I have a large male as well.
