Never seen these type of snakes before.

Never really thought about keeping snakes, although I have caught some river snakes in the past, just never brought them home hehe

this article is amazing man and im sorry i didnt see it when it was wrote

great colouration fishing snake, make a good non-venomous fully aquatic pet, how big is it? do provide a tight fitting cover.

check out homalopsis buccata, great colouration when juvenile, semi-aquatic thou, handles like a corn snake.

That is cool, too bad you cant keep them with fish. I had a water snake that I cought years ago in the wild. It was a baby, probably about 8 inchs long. I had it in my terrarium. it was great, it didnt bother the lizards, frogs and other land creatures but ate all the fish. I kept him for a few months and he outgrew the tank. I then let him go.

If I remember correctly this is a rear fanged venomous snake. Not real sure on the toxicisty of them I'm sure it's about the same as a hog nosed snake. Check kingsnake.com under care sheets you might be able to find some info there or venomousreptiles.org under care sheets...
