I know we live a comfortable life in a comfortable part of the world, and yet some of my granddaughters are falling for this awful divisive stuff.

The President cannot cancel Thanksgiving!

Is USA Today published from some disgruntled communist chithole? That site is the most evil thing, and should be promptly hacked asunder.

Meanwhile I am cooking prime rib, & the non-participants will probably go vegan. Let ‘em eat soycake!

Wow. The internet just makes it too dang easy for idiots and malcontents and trouble-makers to ply their craft. Anybody can post anything...and some of them do.

Vegan? I have family members/in-laws who expect my house to be alcohol-free because they don't drink, meat-free because they don't eat "anything that once had a face" 🙄, dog-free because they are allergic/frightened/stupid...yeah, sorry, I'm not gonna do any of that stuff.

Q. "Would it be maybe easier if you took your dog to the neighbour's house when we come to visit?"

A. "No, it would be easier if you just didn't bother coming." :)

It wasn't really an outside a link. Just an image I clipped from my Apple news feed this AM and loaded here.

I won't post it again, as it's clearly been censored (by someone that probably now hates themselves for having to do it. My apologies Bro.)

In the image, USA Today suggests that American people all continue to hate on each other for Thanksgiving this year.
And they said the president should make the hatred official, by canceling Thanksgiving.

Some people seem to live in a world in which everything is politics, and politics is everything. I'm pretty confident that my family, including our out-of-town guests, can enjoy Thanksgiving as much as ever despite how divisive politics has become. I hope that others have a great day tomorrow, too!

Well, in Canuckistan, Thanksgiving...which for us falls in mid-October...is not nearly as big a deal as your Thanksgiving in the U.S. is. For us, Christmas is the more important holiday and Thanksgiving is a relatively minor one.

So when we get together up here...I'm confident that my family, including our out-of-town guests, will manage to fight about everything under the sun, without even needing to bring politics into the mix. :)

Hello; The worm has turned, or the pendulum has swung or some such. I largely I think many if not most have had enough of the new agendas. We were pushed too far for too long by delusional thinking backed up with underhanded and often illegal tactics. We were being driven toward a do-without future and expected to simply bend over.
As bad as the Covid 19 pandemic debacles were, there did come out if them an understanding of who and what we are up against. The day is not yet won. The holes we are in are being dug even deeper as I sit and type. Hopefully the digging will soon stop.

A few weeks ago, a family i know was devastated by storm waters in NC. One member of that family works at a store nearby. There were rumors of their neighborhoods being passed over by aid agencies. I and others fortunate enough to avoid the devastation put together food and other supplies. Local people and businesses gathered clothing and such. Non-governmental outfits such as Samaritans Purse continuee to aid. The rumors have sadly proven to be true, but we will get along.
A proposed new head of the NIH may bring back some trust to that agency. I do not know if nor do I have confidence the core of that agency can be returned to a decent pathway.
I am thankful for the folks I live among.
