Wow. You are really experimenting and taking risks. That endeavor with two liners is pretty unique and furnishes unexpected observations.

I didn't quite get it - has one of the three ARTC died and if so from what?

On another note, someone under screen name Greenhouse Exotic wrote to me on YouTube, saying they are also on MFK and that they are in Austria and have 5 ARTC out of which 3 are about human size. You immediately thought of you and you can find it in the comments here. Three ARTC are in a 1400 cubic meter pond and they fight for best spots.

Hi, yes two of the Asian red tails had a real falling out and one killed the other. Although to be fair it was probably the culture cat who finished the argument. Any wound gets increased in size by the culture cat very quickly and the bitten artc did not last overnight.
a human sized artc would be a real sight to see! They are beautiful fish. But like i have said before, they really seem to have a bad reputation for such a shy, "soft" fish. The one i have now in a 4 ft tank has very little interest in food. He eats bits but nothing voracious, but then again, he doesn't leave the cover of a rock until dark. Need to grow him on a bit cos now that the wikii is in the pond she rules now.

Intact as viktor already knows I've bought a 9" wyckii last weekend, I'm gonna see how he does in the 300... Project wyckii round 2?
Well not quite, I'm ready to move any fish out as soon as aggression begins this time.
The wolves will be staying in a tank somewhere in the house, and the l095 but the rest will be found good homes if (when?) Things go bad...

Lol because of the haters tbh, I still have my other stock in the tank and don't want to condone adding one with oscars and aro ect...
Once he is settled and feeding I will put one together.
In all honesty he has been at a lfs in a 12*12*12 for a year and been fed the bare minimum, I'm wondering how or if he will grow at all to start.

Here is a video of the pond to show the Wykii looking out from behind the second liner.
you can see from this how hard it is to get good shots of the catfish as I like to keep the pond fairly natural for them. Then they act natural.

then this one is very dark, at night, and is eventually the Wykii returning from prowling the tank and going behind the liner. Very dark for a while but the fish becomes visible. Gonna get a red light to try to get better shots.

Update on the Wykii and wyckioides.

Well the wykii has been in the pond all year and generally spent all day behind the liner and no doubt much of the night prowling the pond. Since a falling out at the start of the year, she despatched with the last of the much more timid wyckioides, but other than that she gets on with the other occupants, be it vulture, sperata, pims, girraffes, red tail, limia shovelnose or even jaguar cichlids and synos. A huge change in temprament from when she was in solitary, although she has taken skin off my fingers when feeding recently (my fault for winding her up and trying to entice her out with her food in a closed hand). She gets a full coley fillet once a week, hand fed and has put on good size and weight. Will try my best to catch her and get a good measurement but looks over 2ft now plus that fantastic tail. The South American red tail has grown fast and is now her biggest competitor for food and although both get hand fed coley fillets, the Red tail knows where she lives and comes over to the front glass to try to intercept my feeding her fillet too having already had his own.
