The BIG Lips Experiment

It's a cool thing to try, will be conclusive either way.
I would have thought it might be better to start with a juvenile fish though, how old is your fish? Are you planning on any special,feeding techniques like in the above posts or do,you think the rock alone will do the job?
Sorry if dumb questions but I'm not familiar with this fish and find this experiment genuinely interesting.

He seems to just dig in the larva gravel much like most Amps. That's what's hoped will cause the development
 
There seems to have been a modest change in lip size in 2 weeks... especially the lower lip. the tissue seems to be less smooth aswell.

Latest update... Lips seems to be increasing very slowly

Well this was never gonna be a quick process..... I'm planning on this experiment to be years in the making ;)
 
I don't see any difference, nor do I expect to. Post back in 10 yrs. :)
