What program are you using for post processing? Sounds like your white balance is off. Start shooting in raw mode and use software that allows you to change the color temperature. I use a mix of photoshop and lightroom for my photo editing.

Using flash will also show colors that you just don't see with your naked eye.

i didnt know i was supposed to photoshop my fish pictures

i dont use a flash... how do i fix my white balance?

High ISO will add a lot of grain (noise) in the picture.

yea but with a 10.0 megapixel cam u really dont notice the graininess
u gotta zoom in alot before u notice it..

i just want my pictures so show more color...
 
If you shoot JPG, then you can use photoshop to correct color. Or if you shoot RAW, then you should be able to change the color balance within your RAW converter.

I started shooting in RAWmode and messin with the color balance like you said. It definitly helps! this is what Ive accomplished so far...

this is with my Canon EOS 400D standard 18/35mm lens
