THE DEAD FISH THREAD!!!!!

lost a redbelly pacu and a male midas today... combo of post-cold stress and an ich infestation that happened too quickly to cure... i tried, but it was just too much :'(

My 14" Red Devil "Pierre". He was like a member of the family, so I had him shipped from California to my new house in NC. At some point he bit through his bags and the water drained out. My other two fish made it. Just bought a new baby RD - he has large fins to fill!

:(:(

I'm sure u guys all know by now but all of my fish are dead for a year and a half. Just getting round to doing their skeletons. If anyone has catfish that dies. Especially rare ones. I'm doing a study on their anatomy and morphology as well as sexually dimorphism. If you could freeze them and PM me thanks. Sorry for all your losses since I last posted on here. You guys are awesome! You catfish die they can help further our understanding of these amazing fish. Thanks

P.S. That's the worlds first view of a RTC x TSN adult specimen skull. I also harvested tissue samples for DNA analysis. Will be writing several books on catfish morphology in the comming years. Appreciate any help that comes my way. If you have frozen catfish please PM me!

It's ok I have a 13" tig in the freezer waiting' but wouldn't mind getting some larger and smaller specimens for comparison. Tnx

Dang, my Lima Cat jumped out last week. What about cichlids? Or are you strictly a catfish guy?

hello. is it possible that all my koi are dead? I dont see them anymore. It is about 15c outside at nighttime, so I dont think the cold did them in. I never seen a cat or big fishing bird at the pond, but I am not always looking. so is it possible that are sitting under the plant roots at the bottom of the pond? I dont see them, and it is sunny and warm today. They were doing so good for so many years.

Quite upset at the moment...I don't even really like angelfish, but I loved this one. She was a rescue, someone's tank broke, they didn't want to replace it and they were going to flush her, so I let them bring her to my store. When she was floating, this fish hoarder guy (y'know, has 30 cichlids in a 55) wanted to buy her, so I told him she wasn't for sale and took her.

She got wedged in between the suction cups on my heater...I'm so sad now :(.
