what is that?
It's a purple spot gudgeon, sometimes called purple spot goby. This particular one is (was) about 6 inches and died this morning. I THINK it's from the exodons that were temporarily housed with him. They eat scales off of fish. If anyone else has any idea what the cause of death could be (by looking at the flesh on the side of him) please go visit my thread called "Dead Gudgeon..disease or wound?"

how long do Tire track eels live, google says 8 to 10. This would be consistent with 'earnie's' death.

no signs of sickness, no wounds, just last few weeks got very inactive, lazy.... then this morning, freshly dead.

sad day:(

oh my, beautiful eel though, how big of a tank did you house him in???? mine couldn't hold it, can't house any bigger then a 18" shark & a 2ft Clown Knife.......shows how much care you had for it, survived years :D I've had my monsters for 1 & 3 yrs so far
