Don't know what happened. It was just freaky. He was fine, no symptoms, I had just fed them. Not half hour later I look in the tank and he's floating at the top. No idea what happened.

Just a couple days before, I lost my favorite fish, my 13" Synspillum. Had him for 6 years. But he had been off his food for about a week.
