The good news is it should not spread through any of the other quarantine fish.

We have lost Felix the Oscar at 7 years old. He just quit eating a few weeks ago. No other symptoms.



I am not sure what killed him. I suspect it was the pet store crickets. That’s the only thing I had changed recently. None of the other fish are sick.

Any other fish eating the crickets?

Yes, 200 guppies and mollies. They are still fine. 3 plecos, 3 corys and 2 hybrid africans still ok. I quit feeding crickets 3 weeks ago.

Sunflower was in that same system, until quarantine. It’s 240 gals, cascading 4 vessels.

RIP Casper Jr



Totally my fault. Was running the tank with no lids so no weirdness with seems and such from the lids for the plants.
Found him dry as three day old toast this morning.

# 2 RIP. He lost his mate (#1) about a 10 months ago. Last week he started gasping for air. Stopped eating about 4 days ago. Wife and I couldn't bear to see him struggle every day with breathing. Med's no help. Euthanized today.
About 5.5 years old. Big heavy fish. A mellow gentle oscar.
