It was a beautiful fish and was fine for a few weeks and then I noticed he was breathing a little heavy one day and the next was bellyup. the only thing I could think of was that I fed him night crawlers from a bait store the night before, but again he was breathing a little heavy that day. None other of the 15 fish or so in the tank seemed affected in anyways.

wow this is a depressing thread. makes me remember losing my first arowana. that was absolutly the hardest thing I have had to do but he was suffering :(

shoefreak - sorry about that tig...hard to take a loss at that size.


ben - nah , this is an old leo from 2 years back..and i dont keep dead fish in the freezer anymore. Just a dead frt. :(

Heres a gorgeous Castexi variant that curled on us the second it hit the water.. Was DOA in about 15 minutes.. :(

ohhh...thats hard to look at..specially considering the size and how fat the tail is..
such a loss ..
