  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've seen the fuzzy stuff sold at stores as java moss. I think it's worth more that way. Sounds fancy.

Amazing how well it grows out of water, only 4 " from the heat of a 27 watt CFL

Slide it more into the water.

Still growing well. I will probably harvest it and give it a good washing. As its getting very thick.

Oh the fish grew up in a tight passage, and has not quite figured out swimming. Yes a swimless fish.

Why not just cut it down to about an inch? Saves you the trouble of setting up a new colony.

2 weeks of growth. The moss is the only thing growing, as the algae dried out. I will add some, as the moss will wick water up, for the algea.

Sorry I don't get it. Please enlighten me.
I want to build turf walls to hide the rather not beautiful plumbing in my tank. I have a reverse undergravel filter, co2, a heater, etc. all run in pvc or vinyl. I can use the moss from my backyard? Any terrestial moss will do? If yes I will do it this week, and (no promise) post pics.
