The LouLou v Yanbbrox photo thread

Oh and here's my tank as it currently stands...

The entire house is undergoing renovation before the wedding so there it stands for now. :)

Great thread - i read the whole thing ^^ inspired to get into photography now though somewhat short on liquid cash as i am financially committed on something else but really this looks fun. Tried borrowing my cousin's super duper Nikon but did not know how to work it so did not come up with any nice fish pic. but i recon i can take pix of cool land scapes =P

PS: sorry about da cat =(

Photography is such a fantastic thing, my friend! And, yes, it can be pricey. It took me years before I could afford my DSLR and another few to be able to finally replace/supplement my kit 18-55 lens by a fabulous 35 mm prime...

By all means, please post your pictures, fish or landscape. All pictures taken with love are beautiful! ;)

I come back after a couple of centuries or so and I fall again on these posts on the Bear passing away and I feel like crying... :(

Anyway, here's a picture of my boy Charlie:

How are things here? I have so much to catch up...
Cool little shot and fella you've got there.

There is quite a bit to catch up on. Things are ok over here on my side, the pond is almost done(it's been up and running fin but needs the landscaping finishing off). Tropical fish are still good, man it's been a long time since you were last on. I always smile when I read your cameo posts, reminds me of the time when I first joined.

I'm no where near as active on here these days, I keep in check every now and again(the odd pond update to keep brother zen happy;)).

Nice to see you back, how long for this time;) , things change and move on, but now I'll have to get the camera out again, just to try and keep up with you.

As for the current tank there is only one thing to say:

BLACK BACKGROUND!!!! DAMMIT!

Sorry current resist.:ROFL: Nice to see you back, congrats again:)

Black background, eh? Yes, I totally agree. And I wish I could have time to do that. But currently, it's too much of a bother. Though I promise to do it as soon as I do a water change. The tank will then be lighter and easier to push back from the wall so that I can insert the background (yes, I have it already).

I hope to stay this time. And I really must apologize for my bad time management. With work getting increasingly demanding and me being more and more involved with the little lady and us both getting swamped by the wedding preparations, I've felt like a headless chicken running around. Yet I want to try and organize myself better... and keep in touch with everything that's dear to me.

So, yes, please get out your camera, brother. :) Here's a new picture for you:

This reminds me of the hot humid summer afternoons of my childhood...
Where the world seemed larger than imagination and time endless...
And dreams and reality merged into one another...

:screwy:

And, hi Zen! How have you been doing? :)

Very rustic, a real sort of home you could love, with a bit of TLC

Just a quick tank update as you've been away for a bit, nothing special, just some quick snaps:

Fatty the oscar, still eating like a pig:

Here is the little planted tank I'm playing around with at the moment, nothing special just something different to work on:

And of course the big boy George is still here, his tank is being redone at the moment, hence the lack of decoration, he kept freaking out and damaging himself on all the bog wood:

I absolutely love the new look of George's tank! Then again, I'm much into bare look at the moment so... yet I suggest you keep it like this. It's funny how a bare tank forces you to focus on the beauty of the fish rather than on the whole tank...

Those O's are fabulous, my friend! How big are they? How about a full tank shot?
