That was back in the day when I used to get a kick out of that kind of stuff.

How would a convict go about removing a finger?...by biting, same thing with the wolf.I'm not even getting in to the teeth as they both have some type of dentition and there are plenty of accounts of Dovii seemingly using some thought process in taking out a target...I wish you could see the Dovi at Sharkaquarium, that thing is downright scary as it rams the glass at passers by...The Dovi is the king of all cichlids...good hypathetical discussion though.

Agreed. I just think pure calculated aggressiveness goes to the convict though, but its a fun discussion.

I wish I could own a 20 inch male Convict Cichlid.

/\ that would be the same as a flowerhorn in my opinion, convicts arnt that aggressive at all. A dovii would annihilate a convict at anysize... ask 'mel o' in his big community he compares umbee and dovii, small umbee cant be introduced because they will be killed, he said small dovii will dodge attacks and bide its time gradually picking of each and every fish as he grows until he is alone, thats intelligence. charachins are generally more aggressive than cichlids anyway, manny and black piranha, giant wolf fish, goliath tiger fish, odoe, dorado just too name a few of the heavy weights... not only are charachins aggressive they are cold hearted emotionless murderers.

thats what i'm saying, my dovii was twice as small as my jag, just waited and waited untill he grew a couple inches and when the lights went off boom. everyone use to ask me how i kept a midas jag and dovii in teh same tank. because the dovii was biding its time lol
