I love plecos .I have a common in every tank. I like to get a differant kind but most of my tanks have high ph 8.2 . The commons dont mind the ph that high.

I've seen L046s for sale at more than $200! 
The only pleco I have right now is a 7" common black which I got from some one for free. I don't know what it is about that fish but it's just so cool to see him swiming around in my 29g (soon to be a 150g) tank. I think it's because he's bigger than all my fish except the 10" longnose gar I once kept and he swims useing his tail and dorsal (in a motion like that of a knife fish) fins to move.

It isn't uncommon to see L046 for sale at over 350. There is also the punk pleco which will sell for easily over 800. There is also the rare Platinum Royal which I have only heard of, never found a picture about, but it is commonly known as the Platinum imperial Pleco. You don't want to know the price tag on that one.
