isn't Martinez too big for canello?

I can't see how he'd be able to handle the size and power of martinez[/QUOTE

No Canelo has fought at 155 before so they could meet there or maybe 157. Martinez fights at 158 so the drop wouldn't be major.

On the Maywether-Canello fight. I feel as if mayweathers performance is starting to declin and canello is starting to peek in performance so if anyone is to give mayweather his first L I feel as if canellos the guy to do it.

I don't know much about canelo, but I did see his fight with shane mosely and I don't see how he can beat Floyd. he isn't fast enough and his output isn't anything that appears, to me, to be anything that will give mayweather any trouble. he will need to land a ko. he's got a good left hook to the body and a good uppercut but I think he will need a ko. if it goes the distance I think mayweather will outmatch him with a solid defense and superior countering

Mosley said that after boxing both of them that canelo had him more on his toes then mayweather and that canelo had heavier pinches

I think canelo has this but it's gonna be a hard fight unless it is fix then the more popular one will win

Shane Mosley, one of the few foes to hurt the undefeated Mayweather in any of his 44 professional fights, was impressed and surprised by Alvarez’s diversity during their one-sided fight in May 2012.

“You can underestimate Canelo, you know, by his baby face, thinking, ‘OK, this guy can’t be on the same level [as me],’ ” Mosley said during the fourth and final episode of Showtime’s “All Access: Mayweather Vs. Canelo,” which debuted Wednesday night. “And then he can fool you. His punches felt pretty strong. One body shot he threw was very painful. … You would think that he’s just a power puncher, but then he can also box and counter, too.

MIGHT be tough to do from rehab,,I bet he doesn't last  but IMO HBO
IS PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH BOXING ,, we need the networks to make a comeback ,if boxing is to be relevant again

Well ,he does have quite a team to help run things...hope he can kick his money wasting habit...I think the networks can do their part of they want feature live boxing. They just have to put the time in and find the exciting up and comers out there since they can't compete with the big cable stations for the top stars.

THE NETWORKS COULD certainly find room in the non-football season to televise boxing,, unfortunately they are slaves to ratings , now more than ever, because of competition from other places(cable, internet),as for Oscar, I wish him well ,,but he's kinda an attention seeker.. which in my very humble experience , makes him very susceptible to BAD influences like fast women and drugs

i hear this weekend will be the largest betting weekend in 30 years as far as the amount of money that will change hands

headlined by the boxing fight with Alabama vs Texas A&M and Seahawks vs 49ers as the undercard (plus the full slate of nfl and ncaa games)

If the Boxing and the Networks were smart they would start a series called the Next Great American Heavyweight. A Reality show Boxing Tourney to crown the next American Heavyweight. You could televise the fighters lives and everything they deal with leading up to the bout to sastify the networks needing their ratings and then televise a live card on fridays or saturdays once of month. Run the tourney for the year and I think that could work.

Something very similar was already done a few years ago.I don't recall the name of the show but Sugar Ray Leonard and Sly Stallone were the hosts.
