Not sure but I have heard that they do not grow as large as afers do.The little guy hasnt grown a whole lot since I got it a month or so ago and that is probably due in part to it's pickyness with eating. It cruses around the tank during much of the day but it seems to only eat at night long after the lights have been off and it will only eat small pieces of freeze dried krill. ..My afer is around fifteen inches now.I have had it for six years. How big do they get? Smaller than afer right?
How big is your afer now 15"?
Yes indeed, mine is in a 180 that it shares with a bunch of dats and it eats just about anything that I drop in the tank.It would probably pack on more size if it were in a bigger tank.Cool, thanks for that, my afer has been with me about a year and grown from 8-9" to around 12". Glad to hear it's unlikely he will grow faster, 30" afer might be impressive tho.
What size tank and what does it eat?Sounds nice, mine lives with black aro, Oscar, dollars, spanner barbs and some cichlids and cats I want to move on...
Hey Hendre, hope all is well with you and your family over there.Congoensis are said to reach 12" or so and don't like other congoensis apparently. Can fight, but who knows
