I've got a spot picked out, the area is basically an "L" shape where the short part of the L is higher ground, well shaded and about 10'x10', and the long part of the L can pretty much be whatever but will probably be something like 20'x20'. The ground is lower here and will get full sun.

The question(s) are, how to enclose it and what type of lizard(s)? I'm leaning pretty strongly toward Argentine B&W tegus, because they'd be able to live in it year-round...and I like tegus. Not sure what other species would work, it does touch the freezing mark here a few times each winter. Basically if it's tegus I need something for the walls that I can bury, as they'll dig. I've seen the enclosures @ Agama International and I like the plan there, but I don't have access to the steel sheets.

Basically I'm looking for any suggestions on different species that I could keep, and if anyone has any experience with something like this & how they constructed the walls.

Id go with australian water dragons. They will live very comfortablly year round without much fear of the temps going to the 30's argentine tegus would work as it gets to the same temps there. Thats pretty much it. There is also ameiva species.

Hmm yes aussie dragons would be nice, then I could include a nice pond & waterfall. Hadn't even thought of them...thanks varanio. Though they might climb out, I might need a roof then...

Why dont you go with an aviary type enclosure dig a hole and set it inside that way they can dig and climb without much worry of them escaping. kinda like this

Im glad you got some pics up of this, really is awesome mate, everyone should do it! Won't ever see me doing this in the UK :(

dig a few feet down lay a small layer of concrete. build a wall a few feet above ground level with cinder blocks, put wooden posts every few feet inside the cinder blocks and add a metal meshing or sorts. then add a substrate of a few feet and the other accomodations.
