turned out amazing. I've been thinking up a water changing sytem, simular to what you are moving twoards. I plan to do it on the next build.

Have a line from the sump, probaly drilled low, run to a sewer line or some where gravity fed. Use a sprinkler valve to hold the water back. Based on a controller turn off pump and open valve. Then close the valve and have a top of controller with a high and low float switch refill the sump.

Thanks, sounds like a neat setup. So many ways to set up water changers aside from the constant drip. I went with this setup because I couldn't use gravity to drain the tank anywhere, since it's right in the middle of a living room

I love everything about this build, but gotta say I disagree with this^^.
IMO: I own 5 Designs By Nature backgrounds, and have seen every aqua terra background in person at my old job, and DBN is hands down the better product, with far more selection in designs. If you see them side by side in person, I think you would agree.
Other than that, everything about this tank is next level and the build is immaculate. Love how you did the overflow, and the wood looks great.

Where are you getting your discus? I believe I predicted a few months ago you would build another big tank for some primo wild caught when you first got discus in your rimless tank.

Thanks! I have seen the DBN backgrounds. Can't say that I'm a fan. They patterns are great, but the color doesn't do it for me. They look too artificial, don't know what it is. For me AT is the winner

I love it! From the stand to the lighting/electronics, the sump and the aquascape, everything shows extreme attention to detail. Everything looks great. THIS! I want to see that shimmer!

Shimmer with these LEDs is subtle, but very nice. Not as much as shimmer as with the 10w LED floodlamps.

Dude seeing that sick filtration setup makes me want to go get a ton of pvc and totally revamp the filtration on my 210g. Great job

Jose, are you kidding with this? Holy balls man - this is super over the top, complete next level work. Water changes by remote control while chillin on your couch? REally?? It's like you're on the Jestson's or something bro. Tank came out amazing, we all knew it would. The tax man kicked me square in the nuts this year so my build is on hold, but once I get back on my feet get ready for some questions on the Beananimal and the DIY lighting. HUGE congrats on that build man, it's truly stunning.

well you already know my take on this tank bro, I knew from b4 the BIG reveal that this project was a work of beauty in the making and now that I finally see it lit with those LED's it lives up to if not exceeds all expectations. I can tell everyone though that the day I was over @ Jose's that this tank scaped with no lights or water was a sight to see . As many of us are probably thinking, it was well worth the wait !!! Great work as ALWAYS brotha and now on to stocking that badboy to the max .

Thanks Sean, glad you like it! I can't imagine the background taking up anything really. It's only about 1/2" thick. I have a few interested in my rimless tank, so let's see if I can sell it this weekend!
