This is disturbing 😳

Wow,just imagine the cleanup effort......disturbing and sad indeed.

Yes, a complete local ecosystem has taken a big hit there. The whole system has been temporarily unbalanced and other species will suffer too, not just the fish.

It could take years to get that balance back.

Tragic though it is, i believe such occurences can and have been natural processes since the dawn of time, especially in regions defined by extended periods of drought or other climatic or geophysical instability. Nothing new under the hot australian sun. Im sure in some way these type of fish kills have been instrumental in creating the unique biodiversity that australia is rather famous for.

Yeah, a horrifying thing to see, but that fish die-off could very well be a natural occurrence, just like forest fires that appear to be disasters...and are!...but are still a natural part of the renewal of the land and the ecosystem.

Now, the tourists? That's a piss-off; one or more of them will likely get killed, and then the bear will be destroyed as a precautionary measure; having gotten a taste of idiots, it can no longer be trusted.

Society needs to embrace Darwin's theory with more vigor; they teach the idea of Natural Selection...survival of the fittest...in schools, and yet allow and encourage the wholesale breeding of morons...

Yeah I had the same exact thought.

Stuff like that doesn't get reported until the journalist figures out an angle that portrays some particular group or individual as being responsible for the catastrophe...it's no fun if you can't blame somebody.
