Those Japanese nets every kid has..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How long are the handles? I want atleast 2' and 4' would be great!

Wait are you saying, not much water goes through the butterly nets so it's heavy?

The aquarium net with tiny mesh are only a few inches in diameter.
And the fishing nets that have 15" diameter have mesh that are HUGE.

The butterfly net I used was a peice of hollow plastic, thus causing HEAPS of drag in the water from bending. No matter how hard I tried, little 1" ghost shrimp could still swim away its that slow.

My absolute favorite catalog to get every year is from Forestry Suppliers, Inc. They have anything and everything you can think of for the outdoors. Can't believe I've never heard them mentioned on here.
Check it out, they'll have your net.

here it is
i wouldnt use a butterfly net,to weak, might work for ya tho, never tried one.
the net you want is a shrimp net.
5' to 8' poles.
pics of my 2 in my netting link below.
i got the smaller white one at a local bait and tackle store.
black one not sure but i think boaters world.
so the places to get a shrimp net are
local bait stores
boaters world
bass pro shops
online
cost 10 to 30
bass pro has telescopic ones.
and while your at it,get a bucket and a battery powered air pump.
;)

is there's a boaters world in san jose, CA?

hey you're talking about the net above the umbrealla net right? Not the wierd first one..I think I need 2 people underwater to use that one..

i went to forestersworld.com but the price were ridiculous..$50~100!! i'm not paying 3digits for a fricking minnow net.lol
