Can I keep my Tiger oscar with live plants without having him eat them.

i wouldnt say so, some oscars dig them up some dont touch them. my friend and i both have oscars that dont touch our plants but we have fake plants. i all depends on the oscar

could root them in some driftwood, i've never heard of them EATING plants just messing them up pretty good or uprooting them

oscars dont like the taste of java fern, so id try that, besides attaching it to a peice of wood or rock itll do fine just floating, other than that your other option is fake plants or trial and error with costly real plants

Oscars and plants?...is that even possible? LOL We can't even manage to keep any decorations or plastic plants in with ours.

Oscar's won't eat plants, but they sure as hell will uproot them.

my friend has 2 or 3 (cant remember) oscars in a 125

When he had a silver arowana in there (BIG one) the oscars paid no attention to the plants because they feared the arowana (at least thats what we thought)

He got rid of the aro

and the oscar preceded to destroy all the plants
