Has anyone heard that owning a tigrinus catfish that youll always have to baby it? meaning hand feeding it. caring for it 24/7, making sure its active and eating. if you have a community of fishes I think it would be hard to take care of baby tigrinus. 5 inch or so.

I saw a Tigrinus Catfish for the first time today. It was about 1.5-2in long. The price tag was $180. I inquired about it, but they did not know too much about the species besides it name.

Yeah thats about the cheapest ive seen one, but i woulnt want to get a baby, maybe like a 4-5 inch or larger...would it be agressive to aro's, or pbass, around the same size?

I don't see any agression issues at that size, not from the tig anyway. Those other fish normally hang at the upper levels of the water and tigs usually keep to the bottom of the tank.My tig is starting to get a little nippy lately though.

I have a 15" Tigrinus. I got him when he was about 5 inches. Raising him has been no different then any of my other fish. I had a juruense with him for a while but it became very aggressive so I sold him. I have a 15" Tig, 20" black Aro and a 9" FT and they all get along great.
