Ok, I'm looking to pick up one or the other. What's the difference? When I google them the pics look the same. If you guys own them, could you please post your own personal pics of them and/or explain the difference?
Brachyplatystoma Tigrinus is the Zebra Shovelnose, smaller eyes, smaller overall size, WAY better looking that common TSN which is Pseudoplatystoma Tigrinum. The latter can get 4-5ft whereas Tigrinus only get 30" tops.
Hi TS, if you are having a tank only for the catfish, it is best to get a tigrinus than a TSN as the TSN will outgrow our tank in no time.
