Hi, I am the owner of a 60 cm large Red asian arowana. Now I have the possibility to buy 2 extra (1 x 50 cm and 1 x 70cm). My tank is 200 cm x 80 m x 80 cm. I am thinking of buying them and put them all 3 together in this tank.

I know it is difficult to manage an arowanacommunity tank with 3 animals.
Problem also is that I have no quarantaine tank.

Please give me some tips how to manage this.
Or is it just a risky idea?

thanks

If you don't mind to see arowana with torn fin or tail, then go for it. Turn the light off when you first introduce them, and keep the light off for the first week. It will help to reduce the chance of they fight. After the first week, you can turn the light back, but if you notice they fight hard, then turn off the light. Whether 3 arowana or 10 arowana, there will be fighting among them. Good luck!

you need a huge tank for that like the min 700-1000

size of tank defintily matters! aro temperment matters as well but way more chance of success with a larger tank!
example: 3 aros in a 90gal, compared to a 500gal
Obviously you guys have no clue that the bigger the tank, the more arowana fight.
