Toadfish Identification, Care requirements?

brackish is 1.012? what about 1.010? or 1.014?
brackish conditions are anywhere freshwater and saltwater meet and mix. this can make for slightly salinity in freshwater up to slighty diluted marine conditions. And brackish fish are awesome because of their ability to adapt and thrive in these ever changing conditions.

You are right, obviously.

I was merely trying to pinpoint the "normal" brackish level.

Okay. Thank you Miguel!

Now, how will I be able to identify between the Batrachomoeus trispinosus (more brackish than marine) and the ALLENBATRACHUS GRUNIENS (closer to marine than brackish)?

Obviously, I could just continue to care for it the same way these people are, but deciphering whether it's one species or another so I can hammer out the details on pH, salinity, and temperature.

Now I have to convince myself to not add any other fish to this tank. Will a Fluval 405 be adequate filtration on a 55 gallon with a single "whatever-this-thing-really-is."

Get that toad, in any case.

Then get some good shots. If it is an Allenbatrachus I will recognize it ( as will others, obviously )

The Fluval is enough.

Git! Go get it!
