Top fishing spots in CT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats what I need to get into is nightfishing for night browns on the Farmington this year. Voss Niantic is a great spot to catch huge stripers. A buddy of mine caught two 50 pounders this year near one of the many reefs. I can't wait till I get my boaters license!

yea niantic and the race are real nice live lining porgys on the inner reefs work very well
or go out buck tailin trolling with umbrella rigs in the race also works if you want to catch a plethora of keepers and sometimes blues unfortunately
my friend hooked up with an albacore too once it was a sight to see

Albies are the nice looking fish in CT I still rememmber that striper I had on my porgy head it had to be over 50 pounds easily. Snapped 60 pound line like it was 6 pound.

Nah started working at Lake Compounce and could not get any time of with football and everything. I did absolutely no fall fishing. Did good thru the ice this year. This is probaly the last weekend of safe ice in CT. All the rivers close now except the Pequabeck and Coppermine near my house. It looks like I will be going to the Thames a lot this March.

i go to school at sacred heart in fairfield/bridgeport, what are some good spots not too far away for bass/pike fishing off the shore.. Man im so jealous, all I found for fishing up their was this river in westport thats suppose to hold stripper. I really need to catch a nice fish before I leave Ct for good this summer.
