I need a large container to hold water for water changes. The water level in the container will change often but there will always be water in it. With that in mind, would it be safe to hold water in a plastic trash can constantly? (Given that it would have to be strong enough for the weight.) Any other ideas of something to use that would be inexpensive? Thanks!
with Crazy8svt, these barrels are made for liquid storage and you may be able to find them cheap. Check for a restaurant supply in your area, all kinds if food and liquids come in them. Don't get ones used for pickles or other acidic stuff. I had two that had apple juice concentrate in them and I can still smell a hint of it in one after 12 years
