The trim on my diy canopy has the nail heads showing.
I need the nail heads to be cover. I should have used glue on the trim, but that isn't an option.

So...how can I conceal these nail heads.

Could I put a very small piece of masking tape over the nail head an put stain over the tape?
I know that is a pretty crappy idea, but I couldn't think of anything better :nilly:

If you used finish nails, use a nail set to tap them down just below the surface and fill with wood puddy, sand and stain. If you used a large head nail, like a roofing nail, I don't know what to tell you. Mabey you could cover them with a peice of trim.
I hope this helps.

Really depends on the nail. I had some finish nails showing in my hood so I drove them deeper using a screwdriver and a hammer then filled in the holes with wood putty.

thanks for the ideas :headbang2

Since I didn't want to have to take the canopy off and take out the nails....which had to be bent back to stay put (trim and 1/4 plywood was to thin).

I took a brown permanent marker and "dotted" it to make the nail head brown.
I know this a pretty half-butt way of dealing with the nail heads but it took the glare off and actually concealed them pretty good :)

In some cases, its just whatever does the job. easy fixes are always a plus.

I couldn't agree more. I would be embarassed to post some of the "fixes" I've done over the years.
