great looking gars everyone, and congrats to those who got in on the order!

regarding pattern - don't worry, it is highly variable but it will also develop further in all the specimens that were brought in. right now it's mainly stress and juvenile pattern transitions. they look their best as late stage juveniles IMO, and some of the early adults also have nice patterns. plenty of time for that sort of development.

keep the gars well-fed and maintain high water quality right now, particularly since they had an extra-long transit time. good luck and keep us updated!--
