Ohh. You were outside so I thought you literally "caught" him. Sorry for the mix up. lol.

Acestro glad you made it over.. You are a wise man with alot of knowledge in that brain, let's keep the teams to a minimum.. lol (gt45fd3s)

Folks name a invasive cichlid and Acestro has probably studied it or killed it.. lol

hey man. nah, the team stuff was misunderstood, but no need to go into that drama. Back to the good fish stuff here and at several of these sites (including a new one).

anyhow, yeah, I've killed a few invasive cichlids. I kinda cracked up when I saw that some folks were concerned about the wellfare of cichlids being caught on that Florida trip. I was remembering some of the fish I've thrown on ice! The hobby and the scientists are in such different worlds. lol.

Some of that guys babies, growing fast. :D

Yeah completely cool. I just saw you kinda left the other site the other week and questioned it. If you're gonna stick around it will be good to have you around. :)

You should post an actual ad for those gt's in the for sale section.. might gain some interest.

i think jeff sent me the wrong size fish too, i think he sent me a 2" er, but i paid 50 for it, so it should have been 3", but whatever, gonna be years till it's a monster.

Not to get off topic but most fish places over estimate sizes of fish and in large groups not all are the same size as they will grow a little different rate.

Also, it wont be years, these things grow fast after the 2" mark. But the females dont, that's why I'm guessing you (XR) have a female.

ALSO, these GTs dont get as big as the saums. So dont expect a true GT to be approaching a foot, it (in theory) isn't likely to happen.

I guess I should post in the ol' buy and sell, I need to sell these before they get too big to conveniently ship.

made the selling thread, for those interested: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74142

also, important to note that some folks measure size as tip of nose to end of tail (total length) and some go by tip of the nose to the base of the tail (standard length). I think Rapps does total length, but size is usually a rough estimation.
