Hello All. This species is ancient enough. They dont really have a section on MFK to place these except the reptiles and amphibian section, but I think these guys look and act more like lungfish then anything else they are condsidered. Here are some pics of the 2 toed amphiumas we have been collecting down here in South Florida. They range 10" to 3 feet in size. We have 10 avalible. Check out the pics, and send me emails for any questions, thanks John
OMFG. thats an awesome setup. what are thoise a other critters in the background?

not only will these things leave a nasty bite on your fish but they hurt like hell when they bite YOU. I was catching some last year and got tagged by one and still have the scar to show for it.

Ouch... !!!

I use dip nets to catch them, no reason to touch these guys because they will bite you if you grab them. I keep them with some fish and still no problems with them bitting fish. The only aggression I witnessed with these guys is personal when capturing or handeling them. No aggressiveness to any of the jewel cichlids or catfish in the tank with them. Even the feeder fish they dont mess with, but they do love earthworms~

ive had my two toed since april, found him under a piece of concrete by a creek in my neighborhood

hes like 15in long
