The toad fish was sent to me in fresh water not brackish so he's in fresh water now. In the background you see one of my florida gars.

just because they can tolerate freshwater doesn't mean they can live long term in it

i would highly suggest you acclimate it to brackish

As I just learned, toadfish is a broad term for many species. Some are brackish, some salt and some entirely fresh. I don't which his is but it could be a fresh water species.
