well its been in a 2x4 for 5 months and its still very much alive

it dont matter now as its on the back burner , but i would have dropped it into a 5x3x3 , in my opinion that would better than its current home and good enough for a while ,,

i have a little project on the drawing board at the moment that involves bricking up my garage door and ordering some floor to ceiling size glass

I agree i think that a 5x3x3 would be fine for a while atleast untill it gets to 16-18", its only about 12-13" atm. i would love it but i want to see how much that RTG is first, and i think id rather put the 400 towards the best ray in the world................. LEOPOLDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Id go for it if i were you mate it would make a stunning addition to your collection!

Also i think that Henlei area nicer ray + black and blue arowana are the exact same like marvin says below

Haha yes especially for a student. I saw a blue at wharf at 10" for £175 and i prefer blue to black in general so i would have gone for that, but i thought 175 was a lot lol.

Blue and black are the same thing. It's just that labelling them blue allows you to charge more. They are pretty rare in the uk now and are getting much, much more rare and so i think you'll find that value will just go up and up as they are becoming increasingly endangered. Black/blue's do not get drop eye, are far less aggressive than others and are easily the most graceful arowana species so i'm sure jason will not be disappointed. Got mine from dangerous dan for less than a £100 a long time back (check this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45968 ) and wouldn't swap mine for any other aro now.

I think i would prefer to spend that kind of money on a RTG after seeing that one in maidenhead the colours and the scales, it was stunning.

I am sooo happy with my flower ray i dont think ive ever been as happy with my tank as i am now, i have ordered some internal filters to polish the water now so everything is looking up.
The flower ray is just out of this world!! I thought rays were boring when i had my KMM but i get it now and i have never spent as much time watching the tank and, it stupid how happy i am now, and its all because of the flower ray and the best plecs in the world....L14's, really what a plec i reccomend you all go buy one NOW.
Thats my 1 minute ramble over, if it doesnt make sense and i have repeated myself a lot its because im stupidly excited at how epic my tank looks now!!
