The 5th compartment, also the last compartment, pumps the water back to the main tank. I have planted some panda leaves to absorb nitrate(NO3) such end result product from the nitrogen cycle, that cant be further dissolved by the BB.

Use 2 x 2ft 20W ADA NAN lights as artificial sunlight for the plant. Light operates for 10 hrs by the timer automatically. The gravel used for the pant also from ADA which doesn't cause the water muddy. There are 10kgs of Coral Chips to buffer the PH, and another 3kg+ of extra Bacteria House. The small pump is used for the denitrator hanging on the 4th compartment…

The 4th compartment. 1st layer covers with 2pcs green cotton wools, 2nd layer a thick black filter sponge. Middle is 20kg of Biohome & Biohome+. Then a layer of jap mat & a layer of Bioballs at the bottom to make sure smooth water flows. The 2 black tubes are AZOO denitrator used for reducing the nitrate level in the water…

Middle is 4 litres of Sera Siporak(grey rings), 4 litres of AZOO Aion Active Filter(pink rings) & 10kgs of Ceramic Rings(white yellowish rings). Bottom again a layer of jap mat & bioballs to prevent water clogged. 2nd compartments are full with Japanese Mat, and bottom filled with some bioballs as well…

The 3ft height internal overflow compartment is full with approximately 400+pcs bioballs. All the bigger wastes will be trapped at here and dissolve into smaller particles b4 entering the sump tank…

NICE SET UP. IS IT TOUGH TO MAINTAIN?

Not hard to maintain at all. All I need to do is to wc 20% every week for max quality water condition, or just wc one month once if lazy...:grinno:

Just need to wash the few pcs cotton wools every 3 to 4 months time... The rest of the filter medias, we don't need to touch them anymore once the tank water is mature and everything is on track...

wowowee...Ive never seen a sump that tight...wish we could have those kinds of aros here legally!

Very nice indeed, almost immaculate!

great looking sumpage:)
