Update on my Fist Pair of bleheri and their own Tank Setup !!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi,

more cover is good for channa.
And of course your filter is high end quality, its made in Germany ;-) not far away from were I was on university.

To provide even mor filter power, take a big piece of filtermatt and stick the water inlet into the matt.
So you get a huge filtration volume, and you can let the filter work for ages without maintainance and cleaning.

Cheers

Hi,

cant get Photos, cause all Hang ons are not working at the moment, and Im in a foreign country. But did a quick drawing, perhaps it helps to understand waht my crazy mind wants to ell ;-)

Bild1.jpg

Yellow is the tank
dark blue is the watersurface
green is thge hang on filter, with its downwards pinting pipe were the water is pumped into the filter, and around this, there is the additional filter matt.
Cut a large piece out of a 5 cm thick matt, pinch a hole in it with a knife and stuck it on the sucking pipe.

Hope this is more understanderable ;-)

Cheers

is it expensive to feed them with those guppies?if mosquito fish(longkang fish) its dangerous to feed them with that..due to disease....best is five them bloodworm, frozen shrimp...bloodworm to me the best...high in quality protein...

lol those colorful guppies and grey longkang guppies are in same species. both can carry same disease. the only different are their color and sale as display fish or feeders fish.

wow Brucki,u are amazing to come out witha simple nice drawing that make me understand in one look, cool one i will try it out tonite but does it affect the sucking power like maybe u should raise the power of the pump inorder for this thing to work...Lastly Thank alot Bro and My Bleheri have finally settle down in peace staying happily in their own sepcies home sweet home,i can see that most of their colour are out and most of the time swimming lively instead of hiding all the time,Most Happy that no quarrels among this cute rainbow family:D

i thought that time only becos i temporaily add in the 5 stripe karala that why one of my that paticular Bleheri tend to jump some of the time due to stress so after i have taken out the 5 stripe yesterday nite,i thought everything shold go fine for my Bleheri and till this evening that particular Bleheri Jump again and he seem to like to jump into one of my New HOF water outlet hole as u can see from the photo the hole is quite big compared to my old HOF i m using which these type of jumping thing have never occured before when i used the old one,so i was thinking could it be due to those big hole of my new HOF that cause the Channa to think that he can jolly well escape from there so he keep trying and is it normal for Chana that is already stable with no fighting in the tank by its own species to jump sometimes trying to escape ,thank and hope i can learn more about them so i can give them the best before i decide to get more Channas into my collection:DLastly maybe u guys can suggest anything i could do to minismise or best stop the jumping as i m quite tired of always going to my HOF to pull my cute bleheri outof the hole and let it slide down with the waterfall
