Once your fish are feeding again, try adding prazi to food and you should be able to wipe out worms.

I would just stick to one treatment plan and be careful mixing medications , except for Prazi/Metro(General Cure) as that is a proven winner. Over medicating will do more harm than good.

Hello, I have a 50 gallon tank that has been fighting these dreaded nematoads for a long time, once clearing up but returning recently after 3-4 months.
Current stock
Golden Severum, No visible sign of worms from anus, still eating
Firemouth , Lethargic, visible worms from anus
Crayfish, I've read they can be the 'host' so He has been put into a bucket with an air pump seperated going through same treatment away from the main aquarium.
I have started treating after looking everywhere for Fenbendazol, or levimsole with no luck, so im doing a combination of weaker treatments hoping it will work, which consists of API General cure 250mg Metrobenzol, 75 ,mg praziquantel, Parasite Guard , Metro/Prazi mix along with two other chem for external parasites, and a blue liquid thats name is escaping me, made for parasite prevention and to aid in secondary bacterial infection.

I live in canada, and have talked to a vet but they were no help, offering levimosle at 500 dollars per 2 grams. I cannot afford that on 50$ worth of fish, anybody else have suggestions?

Fenbendazol can be found in canine dewormer like Panacur or SafeGuard. I think they use SafeGuard for cattle and swine in Canada.

I called Canadian Aquatics, and was told to wait until the 16th for pure Levimosle, as the guy that runs the business was on Holiday and he was the only one that could sell that chem (perhaps has a license or something?) but he would be back from vacation on the 16th.
I was thinking about holding off until then, to let my fish recover from the treatment they are currently going through (which seems to have slowed the spread / lowered population rather then paralize, which I suppose is better then nothing) Since i knew what to look for I believe i caught it very early so hoping my little firemouth can last one more week He still picks at food and he's not completely wasted away in his stomach so lets hope for my little dude! Severum just seems stressed from the treatment... Should I wait the 7 days or go for something else?

Yeah, im just worried and want these buggers out! When I mix meds I make sure their ingredients are the same, the two anti parasite meds are identical in make, but one of them has two other exterior parasite chemicals. If they make it through this, atleast I know theyll be good for any other type of bug in the known universe haha. Thanks for your help bro, I appreicate it

I was told 5gs of Levamoisle treats 88 gallons. I have a 50 gallon tank, so 3gs per dose (for total of two doses?) meaning I'd need 6-10gs? Does this sound right to you guys? I PM'ed a staff member but Just thought i'd double check with others just in case.

For 100% Levamisole HCl in powdered form (Levasole, Soluble Pig wormer):

1 teaspoon = 4 grams
.5 teaspoon = 2 grams
.25 teaspoon = 1 gram
1.0 US Gallon = 3.78 Liters
10 US gallons = ~38 Liters

For a 10g tank that means:

2.36 x 38 = 89.68 mg or ~90mg of Levamisole HCl will treat 10 gallons with a 2 ppm concentration.

so in your case, you need ~450mg per dose for 2ppm of levamisole in a 50 gallon tank.

How would I measure that out? Thats alot less then 3gs. Maybe the stuff Im getting isn't pure because the guy Im waiting for a reply said 5gs treats 88 gallons. Im terrible when it comes to measurements

Ask the person that you are buying from how much % the levamisole is.

yes 0.45 grams. I know that it can be a pain to do that little on a scale so a little more like 0.6 g won't hurt.

Thanks so much bro, I really appreciate it. If its pure I will go with 2ppm and scale out as close to 0.450 as possible without exceeding 0.6.

He still hasn't answered back unfortunatly and I dont think he will until the 16th but I'll ask and get back to you on the %, I had asked for the pure chemical compound, but the guy I spoke to might have just not known, hense why he gave me his boss's contact info and said he would contact me when he's back which will be on the 16th. Hope he has the pure form!

Atleast now I know the proper dosage. Thanks again man, especially for the measurements. Very new to advanced treatments, i've delt with ich, fin rot, bloat, fungus etc from petstores and the like but nothing like these bastards.
