i have raised some from eggs to bigger then these babies and they are different. That was my initial guess but I guess I'm wrong.
hopefully its good for my pocket soon tooI don't know many things about Florida, but it would be great to catch southamerican, central american and west african fish in the lake next to my house.
nice feeders you say?nice little clarias
ya its lots of fun.Kool man. I love playing in the creek myself 41 and still a kid. Hell I want to come down there and play in your creeks or diches. hell mabe futher south even. thats sound like a good vacation as long as i don't get caught.
like what?lolNice collecting grounds you have around there. I see a few natives in your nets that I would not mind "tanking".
yup, thats why i do my part to remove as many non natives as i canMany of Florida's fishes are under strain from all the non-natives
true but wasnt going to leave them in 4" of water that is drying up and wait on an id i cant seem to get. Many are protected by law. Collecting fish you cannot ID is always a bad thing.
umm,all the cichlids, crawdads, skeeter fish, esc., trust me theres enough.lolThese wild ecosystems are not giant free feeder tanks.
yup,got lots of tanks. With that in mind as well, I hope you QT anything you intend on feeding to your arowana. An arowana is too nice a fish to just kill with some ditch born disease.
thanks.im going back for more soon to stock up before its all gone.you got some nice catches there.
tanksawesome catches!
I think I see studfish in there and some madtoms. I'm not picky about what I keep, I have a couple native community tanks.midnight;1170111; said:like what?lol
There is no need to get aggresive. Just because there is enough in the 4 places you collected them does not mean they are common state or country wide. Relaxumm, all the cichlids, crawdads, skeeter fish, esc., trust me theres enough.lol
like i said,this thread was from 4 ditches,4.lol.not canals,ponds,or whole neighborhoods.
For just wanting to ID them you kept an awful lot. True, they are in small ditches but they got there somehow and it's likely they can leave provided there is enough rainfall before it completely drys up. They don't look like anything native to me though. Try posting them in the native forum, someone there might be able to help...again, IF they are native.true but wasnt going to leave them in 4" of water that is drying up and wait on an id i cant seem to get.
haha,i started a thread in the general section and it got deleted saying double post.Try posting them in the native forum, someone there might be able to help...again, IF they are native
