What’s a Random Skill You’d Love to Learn?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bro chill out, not a bot.

Well, apologies are in order then my human friend, lol. Being new around here you won't be familiar with the current landscape.

We are being bombarded on a daily basis by bots. Some are easy to detect, others a little more tricky.

If anyone new joins we just automatically adopt a kill on site strategy these days.

So, sorry for that, and welcome to the madhouse!

Hey everyone! 👋

Lately, I’ve been thinking about picking up a random skill just for fun—something completely unrelated to work or daily life. Right now, I’m leaning toward learning how to juggle or maybe mastering some cool card tricks. Feels like it’d be a nice party trick and a fun way to kill time.

What about you? If you could pick up a random skill (practical or totally useless), what would it be? Let’s hear those ideas! 😄

Assuming it's some kind of magic or downloaded into my brain rather than having to work to learn it kind of thing?

Read/write/speak Latin, I think.

I always wanted to be a Vet but i think that ship has sailed long ago.
I deal with a lot of Eastern European people so i would like to learn Russian, Georgian, even Hebrew.
But if not, then to be a "Man of the Night"

At my age killing time is not a goal. Time is killing me, and I fight it off. Reading this forum is the closest I come. ;-)

I’m nearly 70 now, and the truth is that have learned to do so many things that I am shedding skills, and not picking them up.

I concentrate on monster fishkeeping, light metalworking, custom mechanical and precision welding.

I don’t build computers any more, my electronic audio projects are neglected, I don’t fly, my bicycles and skateboards are dusty, my motorcycle its on a charger, my woodworking tools are rusty, I don’t make live recordings or duplicates, I haven’t been fishing in 18 mos, I have 3 or 4 guitars I haven’t touched in years, and I have two project cars I might just sell off.

The one I’m re-building now might finish me.
