Paroon are a difficult combo of skittishness and timidity and extreme predation. Fish that they cannot swallow are NOT necessarily safe with paroons. Nothing is safe with hungry paroons - you can dig up the OFR video where large paroon was trying to eat same size RTC. Same in our hands - ours killed or injured many tankmates such as Distichodus, Indian shovelnose catfish, piraiba catfish just to name a few.
If one keeps paroons full at all times when they have an appetite (sometimes they fast), then many large fish can be kept with them.
