Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
Agree with Deadeye, getting a shoal ofsome geographically correct tetras (to big to be eaten, yet small enough to not push water quality down, or bit angels fin trailers) would be reasonable.

I almost mentioned gouramis in my original post. I think a blue/gold/opaline, pearl leeri, moonlight, or even some dwarves would be fine in there. Any of those will add a different element to the tank, and a full grown gourami is beautiful. A lot of times we take them for granted as we see the 1.5" fish in the stores and move on. They may even inspire you to relocate your angels.

I have never had an aggressive gourami. One would fit in perfectly. Personally the blue and gold are my favorite.
I would pass on dwarf gouramis, they are highly susceptible to iridovirus and it seems like almost all of them die quickly.

not the normal silver dollars they grow big you can get them in a 75 gallon but there are small silver dollars that don't grow as big do some research get gourami's that's the best option or ram cichlids

I have a 55 gallon fish tank with 2 angelfish (that aren’t breeding) and 4 corydoras. I have kept them for about a month and the tank is kinda dull. I want a little more action in the tank
If you go with cichlids, I’d recommend keyhole or rainbows. For schooling fish I’d go with columbian tetra
