I just bought three discus and was wondering what food is good for them and what food they find irresistible. So tell me what you feed your discus.

what size? some people swear by beefheart for juvies but it does foul the water if not cleaned up. I have wilds all over 5". I feed 3 times a day. prime reef flakes or sera's granules in morn. Mals freeze dried blackworms in afternoon, and frozen bloodworms or brineshrimp in evening.

I have been feeding some mixed frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and sometimes cyclopes. One discus is not eating but the others are.

What is nls?

I assumed New Life Spectrum

Here's my list of food that I use for my discus

Home made frozen beef heart/shrimp mix
Home made frozen beef/shrimp mix
Tetra color bits
Ken's BH flakes
AngelsPlus growth flakes
AngelsPlus fry starters pellet (all sizes)
AngelsPlus BH flakes
AngelsPlus Breeder Blend
AngelsPlus Spirulina Sticks
AngelsPlus Earthworm sticks
Frozen Bloodworm
Frozen Brineshrimp
Live Blackworm

some are better for certain color/strains discus than others. The idea is to give them a wide variety.
